Calvin Cafritz Enterprises’ The Station at Riverdale Park Announces 53,000 SF of New Retail and Restaurants
Nationally known retailer and restaurants to call Prince George’s County home
Riverdale Park, MD, March 31, 2017 — Calvin Cafritz Enterprises is pleased to announce 53,000 square feet of leased restaurant and retailer space with the first phase of delivery at the new master-planned The Station at Riverdale Park community in Prince George’s County. Upon completion, The Station at Riverdale Park will encompass 180,000 square-feet of commercial space, 850 apartment homes, 120 townhouses, a 120-room Hyatt House boutique hotel and several open village green spaces.
Prince George’s County’s first Whole Foods is set to open on April 12, 2017 and will anchor the commercial retail space. The 35,000-square-foot store will provide county residents with a variety of unique products from local growers and producers. Each Whole Foods Market reflects the local community, which will be seen in the way the store is staffed and in the variety of fresh produce and products that will be locally sourced to Prince George’s County’s consumers.
Additional restaurants set to call Prince George’s County home, include a 3,016 square-foot District Taco, with its first location in Maryland, a 6,808-square foot Burton’s Grill and a 2,530 square-foot Habit Burger which boasts the “best-tasting burger in the country.” Fast casual options and additional retailers will include: Jersey Mike’s sub shop, the Seattle-based Mod Pizza chain, a Starbucks, a Bella Beach Nail Spa, a Gold’s Gym, a White Oak Physical Therapy facility, a Comcast XFINITY store and an Old Line Bank branch. New stores and restaurants will also begin opening in spring 2017.

Located at 6621 Baltimore Ave. in Riverdale Park, MD, the pedestrian-friendly project will provide visitors and residents with convenient access to the College Park Metro station, the MARC station at Riverdale Park and the future Purple Line station on River Road. The project will also include a walkable pedestrian and vehicular bridge over the CSX railroad tracks along the eastern boundary of the development.
The project is set to create 1,921 full time jobs during construction, 463 full-time permanent jobs upon completion and is expected to produce more than $11 million in annual tax revenue for Prince George’s County.
